We have a DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a Shop Foreman - Fabrication with an established metal fabricating company! In this role you will perform high-quality Fabrication, MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum materials. You will read and interpret blueprints, fit complex assemblies, and ensure all welds meet internal and customer quality standards. This position also has leadership potential!
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Salary: $35-45/hr (based on experience) Relocation assistance is provided for the ideal candidate
Qualifications & Skills for Shop Foreman
5+ years of welding and fabrication experience required.
Tube rolling—also known as bump forming experience preferred
Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding across multiple positions.
Strong measuring, layout, and blueprint reading skills.
Ability to work with tight tolerances and fabrication best practices.
Familiarity with ASME/AWS code work a plus.
Responsibilities for Shop Foreman
Perform heavy fabrication, MIG/TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Build and fit complex assemblies with minimal supervision.
Verify weld quality and ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Support junior welders and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to achieve production goals.
