Position Overview
As a vital member of our emergency and urgent care teams, you will deliver high-quality medical services to diverse patient populations, including both adults and children from six months and older. You will operate independently, managing various minor procedures, and utilizing advanced electronic medical record systems such as Epic. Your expertise will help ensure seamless patient flow and outstanding care delivery. This role offers a stable schedule, competitive hourly pay, and the chance to work at multiple convenient locations within a 65-mile radius of your residence.
Required Skills
- Valid certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Board Certification (NCCPA or equivalent for PAs, Family NP Certification for NPs)
- Minimum of 12 months of recent clinical experience in urgent or emergency care settings
- Proficiency with Epic EMR or similar electronic health record systems
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to independently see and treat both adult and pediatric patients (6 months and older)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and support staff
- Comfort performing minor procedures such as I&D, laceration repair, and ear irrigation
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with pediatric emergency procedures and trauma management
- Additional certifications or training in advanced airway management or pediatric care
- Previous experience working in high-volume urgent care environments
Preferred Education and Experience
- Graduation from accredited PA or NP program
- At least one year of recent clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or acute care settings
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work independently without supervision, under the oversight of a supervising physician provided by the facility
- Must be available for shifts based on the site s scheduling needs
- Ability to commit to multiple locations within a 65-mile radius of your home residence
- Availability for clinical interviews, EMR training, and onboarding prior to the first solo shift
- Travel reimbursement is not available; only mileage compensation is provided
