Salary Range:

$55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of precision measurement equipment.

Operate, program, and troubleshoot Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.

Conduct dimensional inspections, first article inspections, and in-process checks of manufactured parts.

Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.

Develop and optimize measurement methods, procedures, and fixturing.

Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO 17025).

Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve measurement-related issues and improve part quality.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs, optical comparators).

Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading.

Experience operating and/or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

Knowledge of calibration processes, measurement uncertainty, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

Technical degree or certificate in Metrology, Machining, or a related engineering discipline.

Bonus Qualifications

Advanced CMM programming skills (e.g., PCDMIS, Calypso) beyond basic operation.

Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for model-based inspection and fixture design.

Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt).

Experience with specialized non-contact measurement systems (e.g., laser trackers, structured light scanners).
