Base pay range $16.00/hr – $18.00/hr

Responsibilities

Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.

Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.

Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions for a positive experience.

Model and share customer service best practices with all team members.

Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, including recommending items for sale and trade‑up options.

Register purchases, collect cash, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges; assist customers in locating products.

Maintain clean, well merchandised counters and shelves; perform inventory and record keeping as directed.

Execute duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including entry of patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicine, checking for interactions, and supporting pharmacy workflow.

Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies and the Quality Improvement Program.

Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including those to physicians.

Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services and perform clerical duties as assigned.

Assist pharmacy inventory management and maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.

Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.

Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.

Assist with separation and placement of food items and perform stock rotation as specified.

Operate store systems and equipment.

Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo, poster print, and creative machine services.

Assume web pick‑up responsibilities, monitoring orders and delivering them to customers.

Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat store condition.

Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.

Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state‑required certification/registration.

Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate, while maintaining knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy.

Basic Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

At least six months of experience in a retail environment.

Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.

Proficient computer skills.

Knowledge of store inventory control.

PTCB certification.
