Pay & Benefits

Competitive pay: $21–$24 per hour, based on experience. Pay increases after you obtain RBT certification.

Mileage reimbursement between client homes.

All new behavior technicians must receive RBT certification within 90 days. Burnett provides 40 hours of paid training, covers exam fees if you pass on the first try.

What You’ll Do As a Behavior Technician at Burnett, you’ll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays, building communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play‑based activities.

Deliver one‑on‑one behavior support through engaging, individualized activities.

Implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs.

Collect and record data on client progress accurately.

Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and support.

Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions.

Qualifications

Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children.

Spanish‑speaking is highly preferred.

Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required.

Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field is highly preferred.

RBT certification is a plus; cost to obtain it is covered by Burnett.

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Reliability and willingness to work with a variety of clients.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 18 years of age.

Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding).

TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella immunizations, and a pre‑employment physical (within the past year).

Background check (FBI & DOJ).
