Base pay range $21.00/hr - $24.00/hr

Entry-level position with PAID training and certification provided

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, pay increase after you get your RBT certification!

Job Type: PART-TIME, afternoon availability. Preference is given to candidates with availability 2:00-8:00pm

Location: Tracy, Mountain House, Lodi, Stockton, Manteca, Lathrop

Work Setting: Home-based care

Schedule: Monday to Sunday

This position offers a valuable opportunity to explore or start a career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You’ll support children in developing communication, problem-solving, and social skills. We’re hiring entry-level candidates as well as certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who are ready to grow their careers.

What You’ll Do As a Behavior Technician at BTS, you’ll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays to build communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play-based activities. Sessions take place in the child’s home, clinic, or school, lasting 2–3 hours. We tailor your caseload to fit your availability and match you with age groups you’re comfortable with, from toddlers to teens.

Your Responsibilities Include

Delivering one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities

Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)

Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately

Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support

Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions

All new behavior technicians are required to get RBT certified within 90 days. For that, we provide 40 hours of paid training to prepare you for the RBT exam & cover the costs of your RBT exam if you pass on your first try.

Qualifications

Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children

Spanish‑speaking is highly preferred

Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required

Highly preferred: Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field.

RBT certification is a plus, but we will cover the cost of obtaining it!

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 18 years of age.

Experience with children is a plus, but not required.

This job requires reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

This job requires a CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding)

This job requires a TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella Immunization and a Pre‑employment Physical (within the past year).

This job requires a background check (FBI & DOJ)
