Job Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of conveyors, trommels, disc screens, and related processing equipment while reorganizing the maintenance department to improve structure, efficiency, and accountability. The position focuses on streamlining workflows, implementing effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs, strengthening spare parts inventory systems, and working closely with operations to maximize equipment uptime, reliability, and overall performance.
As a Maintenance Manager, You Will:
Oversee daily maintenance operations for all mobile and fixed equipment
Reorganize and lead the maintenance team to improve efficiency, accountability, and collaboration
Mentor, coach, and develop technicians while enforcing safety and performance standards
Implement and manage preventive maintenance and inspection programs for all assets
Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements
Partner with operations to align maintenance activities with production schedules
Coordinate cross-functional planning for workload, equipment availability, and priorities
Support CMMS implementation and consistent usage across the department
Establish effective parts ordering and replenishment processes to reduce downtime and control costs
Prioritize repairs and schedule downtime to minimize production impact
Track and analyze maintenance KPIs to drive continuous improvement
Provide technical input on equipment upgrades and new equipment selection
Enforce OSHA, EPA, and site-specific safety and environmental regulations
Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and safety incidents and implement corrective actions
Manage and control the maintenance department budget
Skills and Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of progressive maintenance experience in heavy equipment, aggregates, waste/recycling, or industrial operations
At least 3 years of maintenance leadership or management experience
Strong hands‑on background with mobile diesel equipment and fixed‑plant processing systems
Proven experience implementing, managing, and utilizing CMMS systems effectively
In‑depth knowledge of managing the maintenance function in a large-scale facility.
Education:
High school diploma required; college degree considered a plus
