The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing commercial landscaping opportunities. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, expanding Coastal Greenery’s market presence, and collaborating with operations and leadership to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service delivery.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, self‑motivated professional with a passion for relationship‑based selling, a strong understanding of commercial services, and the ability to represent Coastal Greenery with confidence and integrity.
Base Pay Range $50,000.00/yr – $60,000.00/yr
Additional Compensation Commission
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new commercial landscaping opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry involvement
Develop and maintain relationships with property managers, HOAs, developers, general contractors, and commercial clients
Conduct site visits to assess client needs and collaborate with operations teams to develop tailored proposals
Prepare, present, and negotiate bids, proposals, and contracts
Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals
Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting and reporting
Represent Coastal Greenery at industry events and networking functions
Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and client needs
Support account handoffs and maintain client relationships during onboarding to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications
2+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience (commercial services or landscaping preferred)
Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
Proven ability to generate leads and close new business
Ability to read site plans, scopes of work, and contracts (or willingness to learn)
Self‑starter with strong organizational and time‑management skills
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and proposal software
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for client meetings
Preferred Experience
Experience in commercial landscaping, facilities services, construction, or property management
Established relationships within the local commercial real‑estate or property‑management community
Knowledge of irrigation, turf, landscape maintenance, or enhancement services
