Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practice, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion items.
Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges; take customers to OTC aisle when needed.
Maintain counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; keep accurate inventory records.
Assist with pharmacy duties: entry of patient, drug information; prescription filling; verify medication accuracy; report errors; comply with Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
Handle telephone calls excluding those requiring pharmacist attention, including physician calls.
Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services; perform clerical duties as assigned.
Support inventory management activities and asset protection procedures.
Ensure compliance with state and local regulations on regulated products.
Construct and maintain displays, complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with food separation, stock rotation, and use of store systems and equipment.
Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and promotional prints.
Assume web pick‑up responsibilities and monitor orders in PictureCare Plus.
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through Walgreens training program.
Attend training and complete required PPLs; acquire continuing education credits and maintain knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Basic Qualifications
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.
Good math skills for accurate prescription filling, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
Good computer skills.
Knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification.
