Base Pay Range:
$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on assigned cash register, provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy; use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Engage customers and patients by greeting and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
Model and share customer service best practices with all team members.
Recommend items for sale to customers; recommend trade‑up and/or companion items.
Process voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges; manage cash register duties.
Maintain counters, shelves, and merchandise; manage inventory; perform stock counts.
Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager; including pharmacy system entry, prescription filling, verifying medicine, and checking for interactions.
Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies and pharmacy code of conduct.
Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including those to physicians.
Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
Assist pharmacy department on inventory management; maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional and seasonal merchandise.
Assist with product placement and stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out.
Provide customer service in photo area, including passport photo service, poster printing, and suggestive selling.
Assume web pick‑up responsibilities; monitor orders and deliver to customers.
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure store condition and appearance.
Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state‑required certification/registration.
Attend training and complete required PPLs; maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.
Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Good computer skills.
Knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification.
