About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement to spearhead the development and execution of a robust institutional advancement strategy with a strong focus on philanthropy and external advocacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive, data-informed growth plan that aligns with the organization's mission and values. This role involves close collaboration with the senior leadership team, including the President & CEO, and requires a proven track record in securing major and principal gifts, as well as managing complex fundraising campaigns. The VPA will also be tasked with building and managing a diversified revenue portfolio, ensuring disciplined moves management, and fostering a culture of gratitude and philanthropy both internally and externally.
Applicants for the Vice President of Advancement position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's or CFRE preferred) and a minimum of 15 years' experience in fundraising and advancement leadership. The role demands a leader with at least 5 years' supervisory experience, a strong background in pipeline development, and a demonstrated ability in donor stewardship and closing gifts. The ideal candidate will have excellent strategic planning, financial acumen, and KPI management skills, and be adept at using data to drive decisions. High integrity, discretion, and a deep understanding of gift policies, donor intent, and compliance are essential.
