Purpose of the Position Assure that all functions necessary to keep the serving area supplied with clean and sanitized china and service ware. Ensure the dishroom operates in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards, maintains area and equipment, follows proper procedures for cleanliness, maintains necessary logs, ensures sufficient cleaning supplies, trains and monitors assigned employees, and performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to beverage re‑stocking and cleaning.

Ability to communicate in writing or verbally to supervisors and subordinates

Ability to work in congested work areas and areas where wet processes are used

Ability to wear protective footwear (position exposed to slippery footing)

Education and Experience Education:

High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma

Experience:

Experience in a high‑volume food service establishment as a dishwasher

Salary Information Starting at $32,672, commensurate with education and experience.

Conditions of Employment

This is a classified position. New and returning classified employees are required to complete a 12‑month probationary period.

Selected candidate must attend a 2‑day New Employee Orientation Program.
