Location & Work Type Location: Mather, CA (Hybrid work – in‑office days may be required; telework eligible for part of the schedule)

Working Conditions

Responsibilities Under the direction of the Program Manager I, the Recovery Support Functions (RSF) Division supports disaster‑impacted communities by:

Assessing long‑term impacts of disasters and identifying local unmet needs.

Coordinating recovery assistance and programs available to communities.

Building, sustaining, and delivering state resources to support local, tribal, and state recovery.

Assisting with rehabilitation and reconstruction of affected infrastructure systems.

Collaborating with local, tribal, state, and federal governments, non‑profits, and private sector to align resources.

Coordinating access to recovery resources, technical assistance, and potential funding opportunities.

Performing research, coordination, and analytical tasks for primary recovery support function outcomes: Community Planning, Economic, Health & Social Services, Housing, Infrastructure, and Natural & Cultural Resources (focus on Infrastructure and/or Natural Cultural Resources).

Minimum Requirements

Education and/or work experience equivalent to a California Associate Degree (or post‑secondary education) or five years of relevant experience.

Basic understanding of disaster recovery processes.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Effective time‑management and organization.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license (any class) and ability to drive when needed.

Desirable Qualifications

Project implementation and prioritization experience.

Problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Stakeholder coordination and facilitation skills.

Strong written and verbal communication.

Proficiency in presentation tools (PowerPoint, Canva, etc.).

Experience with relevant laws, rules, policies, and procedures.

Excel and database proficiency.

Background in environmental or cultural resource recovery is a plus.
