Condado Ocean Club
The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, from classic and modern luxury hotels to restaurants and entertainment. Condado Ocean Club is a modern oasis in the heart of the city. It is a club for all those who value unique experiences and cultural connections inspired by travel. Assist the First Cook in food preparation.
Prepare the stations appropriately and on time for each service period.
Cook food and prepare menu items of the highest quality in a timely manner according to recipes/menu.
Clean the preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and service areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices.
Ensure the freshness of food and ingredients by checking their quality, controlling old and new products, and rotating inventory.
Calculate the expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage.
Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, considering factors such as costs and special event needs.
Understand the impact of kitchen operations on the overall financial goals and objectives of the property.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Hospitality oriented
2+ years of experience in the kitchen, food and beverage, or a related professional area.
Ability to handle difficult situations effectively
Capable of working quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure
Able to bend, squat, stand for long periods of time, stretch, reach objects above the head and below the knees. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must perform well under pressure, even with minimal supervision
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
