2026 - Food Service Director - ROCKSTAR for SUMMER 2026 (Seasonal Relocation Job is not Local) at Wolfoods, Inc. Wolfoods operates summer camp kitchens across the country between May - September. This is a hands-on, demanding leadership role for an experienced food service operations director. All lead staff live on site at the job location (Room, Board, & Travel Expense Assistance are provided). The position requires the ability to flawlessly execute the Wolfoods Camp Food Service Program, knowledge of food allergens, and the ability to create dishes for a variety of dietary restrictions. This role involves planning, recipe execution, sanitation, and leading the Service & Culinary needs of the assigned camp. A strong sense of urgency, professionalism, and effective communication with children, staff, directors, managers, counselors, leaders, specialists, and diners is essential. Salary: $1300 - $1700 per week. Note: This role is not local and relocation to a summer camp location is required. Responsibilities
Provide excellent guest service efficiently and maintain high standards of dining hall operations. Develop effective staff schedules within budget guidelines; coordinate side work for personnel. Maintain cleanliness, organization, appearance, and uniform standards in the Dining Hall. Be present on the floor during meal periods to supervise operations and ensure quality and service standards. Collaborate with the chef on duty to maintain food presentation and sanitation standards. Train and develop FOH dining personnel; provide ongoing feedback on standards and performance. Communicate daily with Head Chef and Camp Directors on all aspects of dining hall operations; interact with diners for feedback. Ensure dining hall readiness 15 minutes prior to service; implement daily checklists. Follow environmental initiatives to minimize waste and conserve resources; maintain knowledge of all menus and specifications. Manage all aspects of food service operations to achieve high camper satisfaction, camp standards compliance, budget control, and staff training on service standards. Serve as primary liaison between camp and kitchen; attend meetings and events; manage payroll; handle special requests; address camp leadership concerns. Demonstrate initiative, leadership, hands-on self-reliance, and sound judgment. Lead planning, scheduling, directing, and training; emphasize cross-utilization and production efficiency. Maintain inventory, place orders, and estimate production needs; ensure production timing, quantity, quality, and plating accuracy. Uphold health department sanitation standards and Wolfoods Standards of Service & Quality; ensure safety practices and staff conditioning. Maintain relationships with campers, staff, and parents; manage client relations and budgetary controls. Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings; understand and prepare for special diet food preparations and allergy considerations. Lead and supervise staff, manage payroll, and ensure timely reporting. May act as Front of House supervisor when necessary. Qualifications & Experience
4+ years Commercial Kitchen Experience in a Lead Role Minimum three professional references required with application submission Proficient in relevant skills related to the role; quality-driven and self-motivated High level computer literacy; able to lead a team and take direction Minimum 6-day work, 70-hour week Must live on-site in a rural setting (shared living spaces may be required) Ability to stand for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds; bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods ServSafe Manager Certified; ServSafe Allergens Certification required before start (company-sponsored) Ability to work under temperature-varied environments; capable of cooking from scratch Institutional and batch cooking experience preferred Ideal Candidates Are
