Receptionist Position
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented receptionist to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient communication and smooth operations within our education-focused environment. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative setting.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for visitors, students, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and detail-oriented atmosphere.
- Handle incoming calls promptly, providing accurate information and directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
- Manage student scheduling, coordinating appointments and maintaining accurate records.
- Oversee email correspondence, responding to inquiries and forwarding messages as necessary.
- Maintain an organized reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to support administrative tasks and special projects.
- Monitor and manage scheduling systems to streamline operations.
- Assist with general office duties, including filing and data entry.
- Provide excellent customer service to address the needs of students, parents, and visitors.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information while handling administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in receptionist or administrative roles, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in scheduling and calendar management tools.
- Ability to handle inbound calls efficiently and provide accurate information.
- Familiarity with email correspondence and basic office software applications.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
