Director of Parent Engagement & Advocacy
Alpha School is a mission‑driven organization that reimagines education using AI‑powered applications. The Director of Parent Engagement & Advocacy will champion enrollment growth, build parent trust, and cultivate advocacy for a single Alpha campus.
Location On‑site, full‑time (40 hrs per week) at one of the following Alpha campuses: San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Roswell, GA; Bethesda, MD; Charlotte, NC; New York City, NY; Brownsville, TX; Houston, TX; Kirkland, WA.
Key Responsibilities
Own parent relationships from inquiry through sustained engagement for a single campus.
Deliver persuasive information sessions, individual discussions, and on‑site community outreach that transform interested parents into dedicated supporters.
Act as the primary parent liaison—addressing concerns, strengthening satisfaction, and ensuring every family feels acknowledged and supported following enrollment.
Establish visibility and credibility through local partnerships, targeted community outreach, and consistent on‑site presence.
Mobilize parent advocates to expand referrals and strengthen community influence.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Rely on scripted sales approaches or impersonal communication.
Transfer relationship‑building responsibilities to campus personnel or operate from behind the scenes.
Allow organized parent groups to compromise Alpha’s educational approach.
Work remotely or in an administrative role; this position requires deep involvement in the parent experience and community presence.
Basic Qualifications
Residency within commuting distance of one of the Alpha campuses or willingness to relocate to one of the listed locations.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
5+ years of experience with families in educational outreach or enrollment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to earn trust and guide sophisticated decision‑making.
Deep belief in Alpha’s accelerated, high‑expectation learning model.
